Imagine a place where you can be yourself, have fun, and just play. Ernville may not necessary be a place, but we could think of their music as something like that – a “happy place”.
Ernville is one of the newest to breakout to the music scene. They are composed of four talented young men who has what it takes to make you dance to their music. The band didn’t waste time and took the initiative to share their talent to the waiting crowd. On the year 2005, Ernville joined the Nescafe Soundskool Battle of the College Bands, and ended up as semi-finalists. Their charm has already worked its way to the hearts of the crowd as they bagged the Texters’ Choice Award at the said competition.
Since then, they’ve appeared on numerous stints, from small school productions, bar gigs, and as far as appearing on ABSCBN’s Pinoy Dream Academy. After two years, they once more tried to prove their talent and joined the 2007 Nescafe Soundskool Battle of the College Bands. This time, out of the 300 bands to join the competition nationwide, they made it as one of the top 13 bands as Grand Finalists.
From being a mellow-rock band, Ernville grew to discover new influences that helped them find the direction of their sound. Ernville’s music may be generally categorized as Alternative music, from the different influences they blend into their sound. As friends, the band finds their music as an outlet to fuse their passions. Ernville plays and writes music that is fun, and in a way that could make people feel the way they feel about their songs.
With a steadily growing fan base, Ernville continues to go all out onstage and perform like there’s no tomorrow.
