Great coaching, brilliant ball movement, exceptional defense and teamwork -- the San Antonio Spurs possessed these four factors that led them to their fifth NBA championship!

It was a much-hyped NBA finals duel as the San Antonio Spurs once again faced the Miami Heat in their quest for another ring and another banner to their arena. These two first faced each other during the 2012-2013 finals where LeBron James and the Miami Heat outplayed Tim Duncan and the Spurs in seven games.

But the fans, who were expecting an exciting rematch between the two teams, saw a much different battle than last year. The Spurs took Game 1 110-95, the Heat then tied the series in Game 2 winning by two points 98-96, but the Spurs took over and won the next three games by a blowout, clinching the championship in Game 5 by 17 points 104-87.

22-year old Kawhi Leonard, playing his 3rd season in the NBA, was named the Finals MVP. He averaged 17.8 PPG, 61% FG, 58% 3-PT FG and 6.4 RPG.

Congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs!
