If you're a big fan of those head-banging club beats, sick scratching and massive mixes, this one's for you!
DJ Qbert, a world-renowned turntablist has released two new albums for his fans - one from space and one from earth!
The first album, "Extraterrestria," is a collection of "alien-like" music from space. In this album, Qbert collaborated with musicians such as Dana Leong, Chad Hugo of The Neptunes / N.E.R.D., and more. The futuristic vibe of "Extraterrestria" gives the listeners an idea on what scratch music will sound like a decade or so from now.
On the other hand, "GalaXXXian" is a so-called imported album from Earth. Qbert worked with talented MC's like Kool Keith, Bambu, Soul Khan, El-P, Madchild and more. If "Extraterrestria" has a futuristic tune, this one brings the listeners back to the true form of hip hop through its beats, rhymes and scratching.
DJ Qbert is a Filipino-American turntablist and composer. He actually visited the Philippines last year when he hosted a workshop about turntablism.
Tagged as the Greatest DJ in the World and one of the most influential DJs of all time, DJ Qbert is one of the only two DJs in history to be Knighted by the Grand Masters of the Hip Hop culture.
