The soulful singer is doing what he does best, bringing us all to the verge of our tears. John Legend premiered the music video for his latest single "You and I (Nobody in the World)" off of Love in the Future album, and it's all about women empowerment. Done in the most beautiful and honest way. And it is just heartwarming all together.
The 4-minute video shows women of all ages, races, shape and sizes seemingly looking into the mirror as Legend sings, “You fix your make up, just so / Guess you don’t know, that your beautiful. / Try on every dress that you own. / You were fine in my eyes, a half hour ago. / If your mirror won’t make it any clearer I’ll / Be the one to let you know / Out of all the girls / You my one and only girl. / Ain’t nobody in the world tonight.”
There are definitely poignant scenes that is sure to capture the hearts of many - a woman crying as she removes her bra to reveal her mastectomy, a topless pregnant woman cradling her baby bump, a cancer patient removes her wig, and many more. This video promotes positive body image, sending out the important message to love yourself for who you are.
