5 Things You Can Do During the Long Weekend

For us Pinoys, the government has granted us three days of uninterrupted bliss and consecutive sleep-ins.
And if you've been too excited for this long weekend and weren't able to plan ahead, we're you guys are asking these questions: what will we do? Where will we go? Which are the best activities?
Or maybe, you're simply the type of person who looks forward to a long weekend, but when it ends, you realize that you haven't done anything worthwhile? Then this guide is definitely for you.

There's nothing like reaching new places and going on adventures without leaving the comfort of your own home. Pick up your favorite novel or a whole new one, give Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl" a try. It's simply one of the best reads you can get your hand on and the film adaptations for these two will be out really soon!

Whether it's Tagaytay, Subic, Batangas or any out of town destination that can take your mind off things, spending time enjoying the great outdoors is exactly what you need to shake out the monotony of your daily life. Since you have a 3-day mini vaca, that road trip can also mean an overnight stay at a really nice place you've always want to go.

Pay homage to your favorite captain by looking back at his best films. You may have seen Aladdin, Jumanji, and Mrs. Doubtfire when you were a kid, but some of his other films such as Patch Adams, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society has touched the lives of millions of people as well. These movies will leave you in tears and in laughter.

Action, humor and sparkles of romance, the first half of this epic two-part finale finds the reformed assassin desperately trying to avoid the violence promised in the next film. “Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno,” is finally in the cinemas! And just like its predecessor, the sequel has the makings of an international blockbuster. This is the time to finally catch the must-see film in the big screens!

It may be fixing the cabinet, baking a cake or going out for a run, we all have something we’ve been “meaning to do”, or somewhere we’ve been “meaning to visit” for some time now.  Long weekends provide opportunities in giving you a wide range of things to spend productive time on.

Be in the moment, relax and enjoy time with your partner, children, extended family and friends you choose to be with, and have a wonderful long weekend.
