The LOVE PARADE is on!
One of the countryÆs most celebrated pop band Truefaith is back with a brilliant new album under a new and equally brilliant recording label, Viva Records.
The 12 track album entitled LOVE PARADE takes pride on the carrier single, YUN LANG featuring Armi Millare of Up Dharma Down who graciously guested in the song. Expect to hear as well This star-studded album also features the voices of Carlos Magno of Out of Body Special and Luke Mejares will join the group on their performance of Med's personal favorite the funky and lusty, STRANGEFLOWER. It would be an even bigger treat if Ryan Armamento of Corporate Lo-Fi would do his rap part in that particular song live!
Expect to hear a variety of sounds in the album like the lovelorn rock ballad PANGAKO and the 80's pop-inspired (did someone say Fra Lippo Lippi?) song of salvation, MOUNTAIN WIND and the funky and lusty STRANGEFLOWER, a personal favorite of the bandÆs frontman Med.
Themes of Hope and Faith abound in the album and most evident in PAG-ASA and the O.M.D.-esque, KAYA MO 'YAN! These songs are just what we need in these trying times. A confluence of musical styles (like China Crisis,Aztec Camera) is apparent in the song TONIGHT- a celebration of communal love and in the upbeat & cheerful PARADA- a reminder to everyone that to go through life we should just enjoy it just like one big parade!
Romantic love is one of the themes the band is well known for and in this album, the rockin' & boppin' ditty (reminiscent of The Boo Radleys, The Pursuit of Happiness) HURRAY, the cool musings of AWITIN and the secrets of the human heart spelled out in LIHIM should live up to die-hard fans' expectations; all served-up Truefaith style. Rounding up the album is RUN. Just like Pag-Asa, Med was inspired to write the song with the OFW's' plight in mind. It's a song that speaks of the heartbreak of separation but ends with a sense of hope: "Run back to where you started from."
With these songs in the collection you will surely "run" back to the 1st track and press play again!
Indeed, music styles change but stylish music that is distinctly TrueFaithÆs remains.
