2) Slash N Burn

The phrase æSLASH AND BURNÆ connotes æunnecessary destructive power or extremeÆ, and as its name suggests the band had emanated from a series of extreme vicissitudes that left them on the verge of collapsing but had ultimately led them to the road of victory. The band was formed in 2003 when brothers Agie and Burn decided to found a new band that would embody their goals and dreams. Together they gathered friends and accomplices that they knew were adequate for the endeavor. Since then, the SNB has performed in some major bars in Metro Manila and had competed in numerous contests that had utterly given way to their victory. Unfortunately, the storm had come when their guitarist and bassist left the band due to unknown personal reasons. Upon the withdrawal of two of their best musicians, Agie and Burn set out again in search for more worthy virtuosos. In the year 2009, Burn found out that his long time friend, Aaron, plays the bass and is an expert at it.

Burn became determined to persuade Aaron to be a part of SNB, fortunately he was more than inclined to accept BurnÆs offer. As Aaron proved to be what they had expected, Burn met Martin Jose. Similarly, Burn asked him to be a member and he accepted. Just in the recent year, the almost-complete-group met Clyde Polintan in facebook.com. Burn had seen ClydeÆs talent and his exceptional ability to play the guitar, which led him to let Clyde audition for the last remaining vacant position in the band. The outcome was a success and Clyde had proved to be who they anticipated for a group member. Now, with all the members of the æSlash and BurnÆ ready, theyÆre preparing to set off both Rock and Metal Scene with a ôBOTTLE OF DOOMö on their hands!
