Rachelle Ann Go left the Philippines last March to play the role of Gigi in the West End revival of "Miss Saigon."
Last week, she flew in to the Philippines as a surprise guest for a clothing line's grand launch.
MYXph.com had the opportunity to chat with Rachelle Ann before she flew back to London.
Aside from her family and of course, the Pinoy food, Rachelle Ann shared that she also missed her friends here in the country, as they had no chance to catch up with each other, given that she only stayed here for three days.
During the 25th anniversary gala night of "Miss Saigon", Rachelle Ann had the opportunity to perform on stage with the original Miss Saigon - Lea Salonga.
According to her, it was a surreal moment to be able to sing a duet with Lea. "When I performed with Ms. Lea Salonga, sobrang surreal, grabe. Ang sarap ng feeling na makasama si Ms. Lea sa isang entablado. Such a blessing!"
When asked about how the role of "Gigi" changed her as a person, Rachelle Ann said, "Yung character ni Gigi, sobrang sexy pero sobrang hirap. Siguro sa character nya, yung discipline. Sa pag kanta naman vocally, natutunan ko pano mapadali yung performance. As a character naman, as a person, sobrang strong kasi ng personality ni Gigi, so nawala yung hiya ko."
