Another Filipino-blooded singer has won an international edition of "The X Factor" this year!

9 months after caregiver Rose Fostanes became the first ever champion of "The X Factor Israel", the 15-year old daughter of a Pinoy couple based in Sydney has just been crowned as the winner of "The X Factor Australia". Marlisa Punzalan, who was mentored by Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating, beat 2 other acts during the grand finals of the reality TV singing competition which is already on its sixth season.

Just a few minutes after her victory, Marlisa's first single "Stand By You" was released on iTunes. Her debut album under Sony Music Entertainment Australia is expected to be out on November 7. It will feature some of the songs that the talented teen performed on the show like "Titanium" and "Yesterday".

Congratulations to the newest Pinoy singing champion! Leave your comments below.
