Will.i.am shared that he's proud of Apl for taking his blessings and paying it forward to the communities in the Philippines. He shared, "Coming back here with the 'We Can Be Anything'
campaign... this is the beginning of a whole lot of stuff that Apl can do for his country and I'm so proud."
Taboo added that during concerts, the flags of the Philippines and Brazil would always be present -- proof of the all-out support of the Filipino community to the band.
"What I love about the Filipino community is that everyone sticks together and it's very [family-oriented] and it's very beautiful," said Fergie. "More cultures should look up to the Philippines and the Filipino culture to unite because it's a very united crowd and it's very loving, it's filled with family, it's filled with love and togetherness."
On that note, the three gamely shared their knowledge of the quirks of Filipino culture that they learned through Apl, including lumpia, adobo, and the generosity of Filipinos. When asked about the most memorable gifts they've received from Filipinos, Will.i.am quickly replied, "I ate all my gifts."
Apl meantime thanked Will.i.am and the rest of the band for their support especially in encouraging him to write Tagalog songs on their album in order to reach out to fellow Filipinos. He ended with a teaser about an upcoming project he's excited about... which he will be announcing during their concert.
