International singer Charice, heads back to the Philippines after the news of his estranged father, Ricky Pempengco, was killed in her hometown in San Pedro, Laguna. Ricky suffered from two stab wounds on the chest. According toABS-CBN News
, alleged suspect, Angel Capili Itawat, Jr. had a personal grudge on Ricky Pempengco since 2005.
Charice already sent a message to her fans via her Twitter
that she won't be able to sing for the David Foster and Friends concert there:
"I am very sorry to all my fans from Singapore. I am not going to be there to be part of David Foster and Friends concert. I have to go back to the Philippines as soon as possible to be with my family. I hope you all understand. I love you all and I will see you next year."
The singer also shared on Twitter that she had a premonition about her father the night of October 31 saying:
I loved him and I will still love him. He's still my Dad after all."
Charice's mother, Raquel and his father had already separated even before she made it big in the U.S. Her relatives from her father's side have released statements to the press that Charice's family is now "happy" that their father is dead. Charice answered back to all her relatives tirades upon her family, also through Twitter but she later on deleted:
As of press time, the police is still on a manhunt for the suspect. Charice is expected to arrive in the Philippines tonight from Singapore.
