Filipino Youth Meets Pope Francis!

As a country with 80 percent of its constituents are Roman Catholic, most Filipinos definitely are happy that they had the opportunity to see Pope Francis!

Although it rained throughout the whole day in Metro Manila, it didn't stop the people to come and see the leader of the Roman Catholic Church. People lined and stood up for hours, just to see His Holiness.

Among the people who were lucky to get up close with the Pope, were some of the singers who had the opportunity to sing for him in a gathering at the University of Santo Tomas. These includes Darren Espanto with "Tell the World of His Love", Jamie Rivera with "We Are All God's Children", Angeline Quinto with "You Raise Me Up", and Jed Madela with "Light of a Million Mornings".

"Nakakaproud siya na sa UST ako nag-aaral at siyempre, masaya kasi nakapunta ako sa once in a blue moon opportunity. Kung magkakaanak ako, ikwekwento ko sa kanya lahat ng nangyari." Said Dan Marquez, a student leader from the University. He also said that after the Pope's message about the family, he felt that his family became closer.

"Nakakalighten ng spirit, nakakablank, hindi na kami nakakuha ng picture!" Said Bria Cardenas and Innah Pardinan.

Gretchen Ho also posted a selfie with the Pope from one of the gatherings.

Rufa Mae Quinto posted a picture in Instagram stating that she is proud of her sister for getting invovled in the event.

Karen Davila on the other hand reminisced the time when she covered the papal visit 20 years ago.

Truly, we can see the Filipino's faith throughout Papa Francisco's visit!
