7 years after their first concert in Manila, New Found Glory finally returned for a headlining show at the Skydome last February 8!
Pinoy fans were chanting "NFG" before the American pop-punk band appeared on stage to play "Selfless" from their 2014 comeback album Resurrection and "Understatement" from their 2002 release Sticks and Stones!
The night continued with old and new songs like "Don't Let Her Pull You Down", "Resurrection", "Hit or Miss", "Something I Call Personality" and "Hold My Hand" - more than a decade worth of music from vocalist Jordan Pundik, guitarist Chad Gilbert and bassist Ian Grushka. Standing in for drummer Cyrus Bolooki who's awaiting the birth of his first son was former Set Your Goals member Mike Ambrose.
The band filled the rest of the head-banging show with "Anthem", "Worst Person", "Truth Of My Youth", "Listen To Your Friends", "It's Not Your Fault", "Ready and Willing", "Failures", "Kiss Me", "Dressed to Kill" and "My Friends Over You".
With the crowd asking for one more round, New Found Glory literally returned with "One More Round" plus "Truck Stop Blues" and "All Downhill From Here" as a number of die-hard fans crowd-surfed to the stage!
"Thank you! This is f***ing awesome... You know we've been here many years ago but... it feels like this is the first true New Found Glory show in Manila," guitarist Chad (aka Hayley Williams' fiance) shared to the jam-packed crowd that night!
