Fans Outraged at Cee Lo Green For Changing "Imagine" Lyrics

Cee Lo Green's performance in Times Square for NBC's New Year's Eve special ended on a sour note after he took the liberty of changing a few words of John Lennon's timeless song "Imagine."

The original line "nothing to kill or die for / and no religion too" was changed to "nothing to kill or die for / and all religion's true." Fans called out the singer for modifying the lyrics changing the meaning of the line.  "The whole point of that lyric is that religion causes harm," tweeted @geekysteven. "If 'all religion's true' it would be a pretty bleak place."

Cee Lo Green (@CeeLoGreen) initially replied to critics, tweeting, "Yo I meant no disrespect by changing the lyric guys! I was trying to say a world were u could believe what u wanted that's all." He has since deleted his tweets.
