Ateneo-La Salle "Rivalry" Now a Musical

The competition between the Ateneo and La Salle has become a national phenomenon. The Ateneo-La Salle matches have become highlights of the UAAP season with both teams attracting staunch followers outside of their own schools. .

So, if you're one of many who eagerly look forward to the Ateneo-La Salle showdowns, this comes as a treat! Executive producer Ed Gatchalian has turned this friendly competition into a musical aptly titled, "Rivalry."

The story, set in 1968, revolves around the blue-blooded Valencias and the green-blooded Basilios, whose sons compete not only for their schools glory, but also for the heart of Reena, a student from Maryknoll (now Miriam College).

"Rivalry" will be staged at the Meralco Theater starting January 27 and runs until March 11 with 8 p.m. shows every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. shows on Saturdays and Sundays.
