Sad news for all the Sam Smith fans out there!
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter won't be able to perform in the Philippines later this week due to serious vocal cord issues. The Manila leg of his "In The Lonely Hour" was scheduled for May 10.
Here is Sam's announcement on his official Facebook page:
“I have some bad news. I’ve been to the doctors today and although my 4 days vocal rest has definitely helped, I still have some serious issues with my vocal cords which need to be addressed. I am having to fly to the USA to see a specialist there and as a result, need to reschedule the shows to later this year.
This is horrible for me and I’m truly very sorry that I cannot come and see you guys. I hope you understand and cannot wait to see you in the near future.”
Last week, the British sensation also cancelled his Australian tour because of a small hemorrhage on his vocal cords!
We are hoping for Sam Smith’s speedy recovery so he can finally perform for all his Filipino fans!
