PHILPOP 2015 Song Interpreters Revealed!

It's time once again for PhilPop fever! The artists who will interpret the 12 song finalists were officially announced at the press conference and album launch last June 16! With the exciting lineup of interpreters, expect a sensational mix of style, themes, and genres for PhilPop 2015 Loud x Proud!

According to PhilPop Executive Director Ryan Cayabyab, this year's finalists were thoroughly selected among over 2,500 entries from all over the country and other parts of the world including the U.S., Australia, Canada, the Middle East and other Southeast Asian countries. The said batch is “a diverse collection of engaging songs that will resonate loudly with fans of Original Pilipino Music long after the competition is over,” according to Mr. C!

Side A performs the inspirational entry "For The Rest Of My Life" which was written by their bassist Ned Esguerra! Celebrating their third decade in the music industry, The Company interprets Paul Armesin's entry "Tanging Pag-Asa Ko".

Former Freestyle vocalist Jinky Vidal also joins the competition with her sweet rendition of "Kilig" composed by Soc Villanueva while veteran comedian Jon Santos takes on the hilarious "Apat Na Buwang Pasko" from Gino Cruz and Jeff Arcilla. Anja Aguilar sings Melvin Morallos' "I Owe You My Heart" while heartthrob James Reid collaborates with rapper Pio on Melchor Magno Jr.'s "Musikaw"! 

Another anticipated entry this year is Kean Cipriano and Nadine Lustre's duet "Sa Ibang Mundo" by Mark Villar. Completing the Top 12 are Johannes Garcia's "Edge Of The World" interpreted by Josh Padilla and Yassi Pressman, Ramiro Mataro and Donnalyn Bartolome's "Walang Hanggan", Davey Langit and Lara Maigue's own compositions "Paratingin Mo Na Siya" and "Nasaan", and of course, the LSS-inducing "Triangulo" from 2013 grand winners Thyro and Yumi who will jam withThe X Factor finalist Jeric Medina!

Mr. C is very proud of this year's PhilPop lineup and believes that these hits will greatly improve the OPM scene! He even took a selfie with the interpreters and the composers!
