Never The Strangers returns in the local music scene with sheer impact! After over a year of inactivity, the group is back with their sophomore album Screenburn which features two new members! Vocalist/keyboardist Ace Libre and guitarist JP Del Mundo are now joined by bassist Gab Palanca and drummer Nash Ignacio! And yes, it's still an all-Atenean lineup!
Screenburn showcases the band’s maturity as their musical taste has developed over the years. The members' diverse influences also paved the way for the group to explore a different and more complex sound.
The 12-track Screenburn offers more electronic sounds and synth layers. Chief songwriter Ace Libre noted that the said album is "more narrative-based" and "dressed in a bigger yet more nuanced sound". Just take a good listen to their current melodramatic single “Sabay” which already entered the MYX charts!
The band unanimously chose the 7th track "Meant To Be" as their favorite song in Screenburn for its great vibe! Never The Strangers also explains the reason behind their second album's name in our MYXclusive interview below!
Catch the Screenburn album launch at the Eastwood Central Plaza on Friday, June 19 at 7pm!
