Former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Frontman SCOTT WEILAND Passes Away

Scott Weiland, former frontman of iconic rock band Stone Temple Pilots has passed away.

Weiland, 48, is scheduled to tour this month with his current band The Wildabouts.

Friends and colleagues from the music industry have expressed their condolonces upon learning about Weiland's passing.

Below is the official statement from Scott Weiland's representatives as posted on his Instagram account.

"Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velver Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott's family be respected."
