Our MYX Headliner for the month of March - Mayonnaise - finally unveiled their sixth studio album For The Rest Of My Life!
Perhaps, you'll remember that the band first announced here on MYXph.com that they were making an all-English album and it’s now a reality!
Held at 12 Monkeys, the much-awaited album launch was hosted by our very own VJ Ai along with PBA courtside reporter Riza Diaz who starred in the band’s “Tayo Na Lang Dalawa” music video!
Also performing during the launch were their friends in the music scene like Agsunta, Sandwich, Chicosci, Somedaydream, and Hale! They all gave props to Mayonnaise for being so dedicated in making original music through the years despite some lineup changes.
According to the band, they were very hands-on with this record - scrutinizing every detail from songwriting to melody arrangements. Frontman Monty Macalino mixed the tracks.
Even before the launch, the band's album already made a buzz on social media because of the track called “Kathryn” which is a tribute to Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo! Fans waited for the band to perform the song during the launch, and course, Mayonnaise didn't disappoint them!
With the band’s recent partnership with Warner Music, the 10-track album will be also available for streaming on Spotify starting next month!
