Boy Bands Rock the Big Dome!

They ruled the 90s, and if you were ever even half conscious during that period, you would still remember, nay, still know their songs by heart. Admit it.

BLUE
The boys of A1 and Blue plus Jeff Timmons (representing 98 Degrees) serenaded the packed Smart Araneta Coliseum with songs that had the crowd swooning. Roses were thrown, fans sang with Blue, Jeff Timmons was great, A1 rocked, too!
Jeff Timmons who kicked off the show, backed by musical director Jay Durias of South Border, managed to hold his own with hits from 98 Degrees and some of his solo original songs thrown in. @paolobediones tweeted, "South borders vince and jay durias providing excellent back up to jeff timmons as he sings a new original :) people mellowing down a bit. :)"
Ben Adams, Mark Read and Christian Ingebrigtsen of A1 then took their turn to rev up the crowd with fan favories "Like A Rose," "Same Old Brand New You," and "Take On Me." A1 had the longest set, singing some new songs from their latest album "Waiting for Daylight." Prior to the show, Ben was inundated by tweets requesting actress Anne Curtis to sing "Like A Rose" with them. He tweeted, "i gotta go soundcheck but @annecurtissmith, i would love to sing like a rose with you tonight and seems alot of people would love that 2! RT" Anne later on replied, "Seeing all your tweets about Ben Adams' tweet! Would've been such an honor had I known earlier!!! :)" So, that didn't happen, but one lucky girl did get to take home a rose from Ben! Better find a way to preserve that.
Finally, British pop group Blue capped off the night, performing their hits like "One Love," "All Rise" and "If You Come Back." Though they didn't sing any new songs from their upcoming album, true blue fans (pun intended) better watch out for that! During their set, the crowd was treated to a shower of roses from Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan, Duncan James and Antony Costa. They also threw some towels to the delight of the fans. One managed to land in the hands of a MYXph team member who shall remain unnamed. :)
Keep logging on to MYXph for more photos and videos from the concert. Have a poppin' rockin' weekend!
