On Wednesday, pop star Lady Gaga arrived in Harvard University in an all-black ensemble, complete with a tall hat, tospeak in front of thousands to urge young people to "challenge meanness and cruelty."
Embracing her role as "Mother," the high-profile artist used her star power to rally her Little Monsters to push forward a common cause -- to end bullying, especially among the youth.
At the event, the pop star launched the Born This Way Foundation, named after her 2011 hit song promoting acceptance and individuality.
The singer was joined by American TV personality Oprah Winfrey, U.S. Health and Human Service Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in launching the foundation which seeks to "empower youth and inspire bravery," Billboard.com reports.
