Indie band Sud caused a huge buzz on social media after their cover and centerfold for Pulp magazine surfaced online! It's the first time for the fast-rising group to be featured in a magazine cover, yet its concept triggered a series of public arguments on Twitter!
Among those who voiced out their opinion was fellow indie act and former MYX Spotlight artist BP Valenzuela! The "Steady" singer-songwriter took offense at a particular image which depicted the all-male band as a movie crew at a seemingly provocative shoot involving two females!
Other artists and fans chimed in on the polarizing issue on Twitter!
Some of the tirades were directed at Pulp publisher Vernon Go who shared his thoughts on the matter!
Sud members Samuel Valenia and Jimbo Cuenco also sounded off on the issue!
Sud eventually released an official statement where they apologized "for any sensitivities that have been hurt" by their photo.
