MYXclusive: How To Cope With "In The Mix" Post-Concert Depression!

The first ever In The Mix festival left everyone in awe! For sure, music fans who witnessed the one-night spectacle featuring Twin Pines, Elle King, Third Eye Blind, Panic! At The Disco, James Bay, and The 1975 are having post-concert depression or PCD right now! In case you didn't know, PCD is the feeling you get after watching a superb event and you just want to relive everything!

This condition could last for several days, but that's normal for an avid concertgoer like you! In the meantime, check out our advice on how to cope with PCD!

1. Reflect on your favorite moments.

Remember how James Bay wore a jacket with the colors of the Philippine flag... The awesome jumping moments of Third Eye Blind's Stephan Jenkins... Or the impressive singing of The 1975 frontman Matty Healy (while smoking onstage). Setting up a music playlist similar to the show's flow could also help in re-capturing the euphoria you felt that night.

2. Share your feelings!

There will always be friends who weren't at the show. Tell them about how you felt when James did a splendid guitar solo and when he performed "Let It Go". Or when Matty burst into tears after singing "Fallinforyou" and "Somebody Else". Let it all out even if they may not totally understand. (You had to be there, right?) Also use this time to post the rest of your photos and videos that didn't make it to your Snapchat or Instagram story. It's not bragging, just sharing!

3. Follow the hashtag!

This will help you find articles, images, and clips from show organizers, concert websites, news portals, and of course, MYX! You can also read about the experience of other fans and know their reactions to particular moments. Did they love the amazing "Bohemian Rhapsody" cover by P!ATD from the Suicide Squad OST? Or were they as fired up as you were during The 1975's performance of "The Sound"?

4. "Stalk" / Research on the artists.

After watching them live, your appreciation for these musicians must have grown to an unprecedented level. Why don't you look up Twin Pines' influences or Elle King's Pinoy blood? (FYI, she's the daughter of Deuce Bigelow star Rob Schneider who's of Filipino descent.) Watch old Third Eye Blind videos while you're at it!

5. "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."

PCD starts to kick in as you walk out the venue. As you return to your normal life after waking up the next day, make last night's show an inspiration to continue to feel alive! Be happy that the concert pushed through and everything went well! Be glad that you got to hear the songs you wanted to hear live! Emulate Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie and be "Victorious"!

6. Let it go...

"I don't regret it but I'm glad that we're through" - The 1975 ("The Sound")

Accept that the concert you looked forward to for months is really over. Don't worry 'cause those "In The Mix" PCD moments will eventually fade. Who knows, maybe your idols will be back for another show in just a year or less?

Until next time, concert junkie!
