Thrasher, a long-running skate culture magazine, spoke up recently about its clothing line's growing popularity among non-skaters particularly Hollywood celebrities. And it seems that they're not at all happy about it.
In an interview with Hypebeast, the magazine's editor-in-chief Jake Phelps slammed artists like Rihanna and Justin Bieber for sporting Thrasher gear. "We don't send boxes to Justin Bieber or Rihanna or those fucking clowns," exclaimed Phelps.
He added, "the pavement is where the real shit is. Blood and scabs, does it get realer than that?"
Guess that statement means he doesn't want seeing any non-skaters wearing the brand. Let's wait for what Rihanna or the Biebz has to say (or not say) about this.
Do you have a problem with celebs wearing merch like that of Thrasher's?
