WATCH: THE WEEKND Performs "Starboy" and "False Alarm" On SNL!

The Weeknd kicked off Saturday Night Live's 42nd season with a musical performance of his two tracks from his forthcoming album, Starboy

The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) opened with the title-track Starboy, featuring Daft-Punk. Many hoped to see the French dance duo, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, make a surprise appearance but unfortunately, it didn't happen. Perhaps next time. The singer followed up his performance with another number, this time singing his newly released dance-punk song False Alarm. These songs somehow signal the beginning of a new era, one that leaves his 2015 Beauty Behind the Madness identity. Watch the performance below!
