Ever since One Direction announced their hiatus and continued to sign record deals with other rival labels, the band's creator and boss Simon Cowell started taking digs at the boys. And Niall Horan is his latest victim.
Niall's first solo single, This Town, released with Capitol Records on September 29 barely made it to the UK charts at number nine. Simon then told Sunday Mirror how the Irish protégé would've had his track at number one if he had signed with his label SyCo.
“Niall probably would have had a No.1 single if he'd stayed with me," mocked the X-Factor judge. “But you know who does have the top spot this week? James Arthur. I'm pleased he's back with us with a fantastic record."
He fired his last with "hashtag loyalty." Burn. Does this mean there won't be a 1D reunion any time soon?
This Town is currently at the third spot in the MYX Daily Top Ten International, eight in the MYX International Top 20 and eighteenth in the MYX Hit Chart.
Do you think Niall's This Town would've more success with Simon's label? Tell us in the comments!
