LOOK: Disney's “Aladdin” Is Getting A Live Action Remake!

Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and Mulan aren't the only Disney animated classics that are going to have live action versions! According to Hollywood Reporter, Disney has enlisted Guy Ritchie to direct the reimagined adaptation of Aladdin! Dan Lin, who worked with Ritchie on the Sherlock Holmes franchise starring Robert Downey Jr., will produce the film which has no release date yet.


The original animated feature became the highest-grossing film of 1992 and won two Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Song for "A Whole New World" which was sung in the movie by Lea Salonga. A vital part of its success was the late Robin Williams' portrayal of the Genie.
