Taylor Swift just wrote a breakup song and no one knew about it until country band Little Big Town revealed in a Facebook Live that the pop star penned the group's new track, "Better Man".
Band members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Philip Sweet were friends with the 26-year-old pop star since high school. They shared how Taylor "sent us this song and it was one that was really special to her and she thought of us because of the harmonies and she’s never pitched a song to anyone before and the moment that we heard it we were like, ‘man, that is a song that we’re gonna cut.’"
With lyrics like "Sometimes, in the middle of the night, I can feel you again / But I just miss you, and I just wish you were a better man / And I know why we had to say goodbye / Like the back of my hand / And I just miss you, and I just wish you were a better man," speculations rose that the song is about her split with ex-boyfriend and DJ Calvin Harris.
