Porter Robinson - an American DJ and producer who identifies himself as a huge fan of Japanese culture - took his fanboying to a whole new level. He collaborated with A-1 Pictures - a leading Japanese animation studio - and anime streaming site Crunchyroll to produce a short film slash music video about a young girl who lived in a futuristic simulation that her father made in order to protect her from the beginning of the world's end.
