If there is one thing that Enchong Dee learned from his first album which turned platinum, it would be not to rush things.
The actor-singer took his time making his sophomore album EDM (Enchong Dee Moves), savoring the production process before completely offering it to his fans in time for his 10th anniversary in the entertainment business.
"I feel privileged kasi not all artists [nagtatagal]... out of 100 na pumapasok sa industriya siguro 2% lang yung nagla-last ng 10 years so I'm very happy, very privileged. I'm very thankful for all the support from my company [and] the audience," he said in our MYXclusive interview.
EDM contains upbeat tunes about relatable subject matters. He also shows off his dancing skills in some of the music videos, drawing inspiration from Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano who can sing and dance at the same time.
He was very hands-on, down to the smallest detail as attested by producer Rox Santos. "Halos lahat ng element, ingredients para mabuo 'tong EDM na album, lahat hinawakan ko, lahat pinagdi-disyunan ko," Enchong said.
The heartthrob, who just turned 28 last November 5, proudly shared that he wrote one of the songs - "Hopia" which was inspired by the story of his friend from G-Force.
His good friend Maja Salvador appears in the music video of his heartbreaking single "Hanggang Dito Na Lang" which is currently on the Pinoy MYX Countdown. Plus, he has already shot the videos for "Oo Gusto Kita" with Shaina Magdayao and "Sa Huli" with Liza Soberano in Toronto and Vancouver. He's also trying to get Kathryn Bernardo for his "Crush" video.
