WATCH: GERARD WAY, STEVE AOKI Play “Overwatch” For Charity!

Steve Aoki and Gerard Way battled each other in an Overwatch match for charity.

The fundraising event in Los Angeles benefited organizations Best Buddies and National Alliance on Mental Illness which were chosen by the DJ-producer and My Chemical Romance frontman, respectively. Aoki streamed their whole game on his Twitch account where they also interacted with fans and talked about music.

The video game from Blizzard Entertainment has been making waves in the gaming industry since its launch in May 2016. It's a shooting game where 2 teams composed of 6 players must secure and defend specific control locations on diverse maps. Each player gets to choose a hero from a set of characters divided into four classes: Offense, Defense, Tank, and Support. They need to communicate, play their "role", and accomplish specific conditions to take down the other team and achieve victory.
