LOOK: More Musicians Stand With Standing Rock!

Remember actress Shailene Woodley's arrest for protesting against the construction of Dakota Access Pipeline back in October? More and more prominent celebrities are standing up for the same cause!

British singer-songwriter Kate Nash wrote an open letter where she expressed her solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and urged US President Barack Obama to stop the violence occuring in the protest site! She enlisted over 120 other musicians including Alicia Keys, Sia, Troye Sivan, Christina Perri, Paramore's Hayley Williams, Green Day's Bliie Joe Armstrong, 5 Seconds of Summer's Ashton Irwin, Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Death Cab For Cutie, and more!

She penned "We are deeply disturbed by the police actions that have been taking place, where non violent protests have been and continue to be met with extremely aggressive tactics including; being shot with water canons in below freezing temperatures, chemical weapons, rubber bullets, and attack dogs. These are the same inhumane methods used during WWII and the Civil Rights Movement."

The petitioners want the government to be responsible for their actions and "put an end to violence": "We are aware of the long and painful history between the US and its indigenous people. Know that the world's eyes and the eyes of the music community are on you now as you continue to disregard the treaties you have with the Native American people and act barbarically towards them."
