Ellen DeGeneres honored her close friend, Carrie Fisher, during her talk show recently. The iconic actress, who had been on her show many times, was given a touching video tribute by the host.
"I wanna say something about my friend, Carrie Fisher," Ellen started, remembering her friend's positive qualities. "I knew her for a long time. She has been on the show many times, and the last time was just a month ago. And I loved when she was here. She made me laugh so hard. She was smart, she was funny, she was hilariously honest about herself and the world around her."
It was followed by a short video featuring the remarkable appearances of Carrie as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where her humor, wit and wisdom were evident. The legendary Star Wars actress' mom Debbie Reynolds, who passed away one day after her, was also memorialized in the tribute by including a clip where Carrie talks about living next door to her mother.
"I miss you, Carrie. I love ya," Ellen said, smiling as the video ends.
