As Directioners would recall, Louis Tomlinson and former bandmate Zayn Malik got into a Twitter spat a few months after the latter's sudden departure from the boy band.
In May 2015, Zayn took producer Naughty Boy's side in a feud with Louis and responded to his ex-bandmate: "Remember when you had a life and stopped making bi***y comments about mine?" Ouch. Since then Zayn's already icy relationship with the remaining 1D boys has gone even icier.
But cheer up, Directioners! Two years after, it seems Zayn and the boys are on speaking terms once again!
"I think a lot of us have spoken recently, me and Zayn have spoken recently,” Louis revealed in an interview with Sirius XM. “We’ve got to a point now where, you know, we can just really be happy for each other. Things have happened in the past, of course. Yeah, it’s great. His first song is an absolute smash.”
Listen to Louis talk about his mended friendship with Zayn in the interview below.
The "Pillowtalk" hitmaker also had a mini reunion with Niall Horan during the 2016 American Music Awards where the Irish lad caught him off guard with a handshake. He also sent his deepest condolences to Louis after his mom's passing in early December.
The 1D reunion we've all been hoping for isn't far off after all. Niall must also have been reminiscing the best times he had with the band while writing this tweet, too.
Do you think Zayn and Louis should do a collab? Tell us in the comments!
