BIGBANG has announced a temporary hiatus in anticipation of T.O.P's mandatory two-year military service starting on February 9th. The 29-year-old rapper is the first from his K-Pop boy group to enlist in the army.
On January 22, T.O.P shared with his 6.8 million Instagram followers a farewell video from BIGBANG's last “0.TO.10” concert in Hong Kong. He went back onstage and threw a finger heart to a stadium full of screaming K-Pop fanatics. "I'll miss you a lot," wrote T.O.P before resuming his message in Korean, “Thank you, everyone. I will really miss you a lot. I’ll come back as a more mature person because of that longing. I’m happy.”
The remaining members G-Dragon, Taeyang, Seungri and Daesung will continue on with BIGBANG's future projects and activities. Reports also say that G-Dragon is currently working on his solo comeback, but has no official date of release yet.
