On January 27, U.S. President Donald Trump issued an executive order to ban Muslims and refugees from entering the borders of America. The discriminatory ruling didn't sit well with many American citizens as well as celebrities like Rihanna, Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo, Lorde, Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato and more.
While some took it to social media to air their grievances, others called on the attention of people to donate to the American Civil Liberties Union, "a nonprofit, nonpartisan, legal and advocacy organization devoted to protecting the basic civil liberties of everyone in America," in support of the refugees.
German DJ-producer Zedd has joined the protest and is making his voice heard through music. The 27-year-old tried to reach out to his fellow artists Sia, Camila Cabello, Grimes and Macklemore to "put on a show in support of ACLU."
Although none of the artists have responded yet to his call on Twitter besides a retweet from Macklemore, we're pretty sure they're along for the ride. All four artists have expressed how strongly against they are of the executive order.
Zedd admitted to being an immigrant himself in another tweet. "Born in Russia, grew up in Germany, currently in America on a VISA," he wrote.
