Bruno Mars went on a tell-all interview about everything under the sun!
Born half Puerto Rican and half Filipino, Peter Bayot Hernandez aka THE Bruno Mars couldn't be more proud of his roots. In an interview Latina Magazine, Bruno Mars talked about how it was growing up in a multicultural setting and how it shaped his identity as a musician.
Mars also shared that his mom, Bernadette San Pedro Bayot, taught him how to treat a woman right. "The woman who taught you to love, showed you what a woman's supposed to be," he said. "When that goes away, a little more than half your heart goes away with it," he added.
The "24k Magic" hitmaker also made a moving statement when he revealed that he is willing to trade his fame if that is what it takes to bring back her late Filipina who died more than three years ago.
"She's more than my music. If I could trade music to have her back, I would. I always hear her say, 'Keep going and keep doing it," Mars said.
