Madonna's family just keeps on getting bigger.
The legendary pop icon officially became a mom to twin girls from Malawi after she confirmed reports about the adoption on Instagram.
"I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family," she announced on the platform along with a mother and daughters photo.
The 58-year-old singer is also a mother to four children, Lourdes Leon, 20; Rocco Ritchie, 16; David Banda, 11 and Mercy James, 11. David and Mercy from Malawi were adopted in 2006 and 2009, respectively.
She also thanked those who were involved in the adoption process and asked the media for privacy, "I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time. Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love!"
In late January, a representative of the superstar denied the plan to adopt, telling PEOPLE,“I am in Malawi to check on the children’s hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi and then heading home. The rumors of an adoption process are untrue.”
