Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots took off their pants before taking the stage to accept their very first Grammy award! The pair won Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for "Stressed Out" off their 2015 album Blurryface.
"This story starts in Columbus, Ohio and it was a few years ago," narrates Tyler in their acceptance speech. "It was before Josh and I were able to make money playing music, I called him up and I said 'Hey Josh, do you wanna come over to my rental house and watch the Grammys?'"
"As we were watching, we'd notice that every single one of us was in our underwear. And seriously, Josh turned to me, and we were no one at that time, he turned to me and said, 'You know if ever we go to the Grammys, if we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this."
"Stressed Out" emerged victorious over "Closer" by The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey, "7 Years" by Lukas Graham, "Work" by Rihanna featuring Drake, "Cheap Thrills" by Sia featuring Sean Paul, and "Culcha Vulcha" by Snarky Puppy.
