Bella Hadid's almost two-year relationship with The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) ended with not much fanfare. It was only after the R&B star and the supermodel appeared together on the runway at last year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show did the Internet go crazy with the "walking past your ex" meme.
The two still seemed to be "great friends" after their breakup - until Selena Gomez came into the picture. A source of US Weekly claims that Bella "has reached out to Abel a few times and told him Selena is using him." The Weeknd, however, thinks she is just jealous.
In her exclusive interview on the Young Love issue of Teen Vogue, the supermodel talked about her breakup with Abel. "It was my first breakup—and so public. As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it's always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It'll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through."
"But I'll always respect him, and I'll always love him. Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you've fought so hard to build," Gigi's little sister added.
