Iconic 90s band The Moffatts revisited their most notable hits for the Philippine leg of their Farewell Tour at the Araneta Coliseum last February 18. Brothers Scott, Clint, and Bob Moffatt arrived a few days before their concert to hype everyone for this major show - even appearing on the MYX Daily Top 10 International Edition on Valentine's Day.
The Canadian group originally consists of four siblings, but Dave did not join the farewell tour. Their last visit to the Philippines was in 1998 while promoting the album Chapter 1: A New Beginning. The brothers took different paths after disbanding in 2001, but they came together 16 years later for one nostalgic night!
The bros succeeded in delivering an amazing trip down memory lane. It was obvious that they missed their Filipino fans who still know their smash hits by heart. "You are a good looking crowd," said the band.
The Moffatts also noted that the Philippines was the best place to play their songs. They opened with "Crazy" and the very catchy "I'll Be There For You" which brought the crowd to its feet.
Of course, they also played some songs from their respective projects!
After singing the fangirl favorite "Girl Of My Dreams", they surprised everyone with a cover of "When You Say Nothing At All" which was popularized by Ronan Keating. They also initiated a Facebook Live video since their mother wanted to see the brothers' show while thousands of miles away from home.
The Moffatts further displayed their awesome sibling chemistry while performing "Misery" and "If Life Is So Short"!
They took a bow after their heartfelt acoustic version of "Miss You Like Crazy"! Though it was billed as their farewell tour, Scott, Clint, and Bob said they're willing to come back in the future!
