LOOK: THE CHAINSMOKERS Moved By Fan's Death!

Alex Pall took to Instagram to honor a fan of The Chainsmokers who recently died of cancer.

The fan named Jake planned to attend one of their shows in London but his condition "took a turn for the worst". Jake's friend reached out to Alex to make a simple request which the DJ duo kindly granted.

"His friend who wrote us asked simply that we send him a video saying stay strong and how we wished he was there. We sent one and said we would be back and next time around when he was healthy he would be side stage rocking with us. Well as life would have it we just heard from his dad that he passed away the day after he got our message. His dad thanked us for the message and I cried," he wrote.

Alex saw this as an opportunity to remind people of two lessons: doing little acts of kindness and that life is fragile so people must cherish and value them everytime.

"It's so easy to do little acts of kindness they can go such a long way, not only did this email exchange change our lives but we hope we brought happiness to one of his last moments . So today just think about how much better it is to go that little bit extra and do something positive. And two life is fragile and spontaneous hopefully many of you haven't had to lose someone close to you unexpectedly and for those that have trust me I know the feeling, so cherish those around you, never end things on a bad note and really value each minute you have with the ones you love."

He also thanked Jake for "reminding us the importance of kindness and life."

The other day we got an email from a good guy saying how him and his friend had planned for months to come to our show in London, but recently that friends cancer took a turn for the worst and wouldn't be able to make it anymore due to his current condition. His friend who wrote us asked simply that we send him a video saying stay strong and how we wished he was there. We sent one and said we would be back and next time around when he was healthy he would be side stage rocking with us. Well as life would have it we just heard from his dad that he passed away the day after he got our message. His dad thanked us for the message and I cried. Not only does this break our heart but it reminds us of two valuable lesson; it's so easy to do little acts of kindness they can go such a long way, not only did this email exchange change our lives but we hope we brought happiness to one of his last moments . So today just think about how much better it is to go that little bit extra and do something positive. And two life is fragile and spontaneous hopefully many of you haven't had to lose someone close to you unexpectedly and for those that have trust me I know the feeling, so cherish those around you, never end things on a bad note and really value each minute you have with the ones you love. RIPJake thank you for reminding us the importance of kindness and life. So if you read this try your best Today to go out of your way and be kind, don't take Today for granted (even Monday's) and tell those around you how much you love them.
