John Mayer’s recent guesting on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" became a memorable and hilarious one as he faked the show's live audience with a clever house band disguise.
Wearing a bandana, a pair of shades, and a very long fake beard, he was introduced as the guitar living legend Hank "The Hawk" Knutley! He was there to promote a fake live album with a cheeky title, Knutley In Your Face.
As "Hank" was introduced before his supposed performance, his true identity was revealed by Jimmy Kimmel. The host asked John why he did such a thing and the musician could only say, "Ed Sheeran is killing it right now. And I thought maybe if I played a different person, I could get another chance to make it."
The John went on to perform the song, "Still Feel Like Your Man" from his recently released EP, The Search For Everything – Wave Two.
