LOOK: DOVE CAMERON And Cast Say Goodbye To 'Liv and Maddie'!

Dove Cameron wrote something for all the fans of the Disney Channel show, Liv and Maddie. The message came after the airing of the series finale, which closed out the show after 4 seasons.

the finality of today is nothing short of overwhelming and extraordinary. the amount of gratitude, love and huge emotion that my heart carries and pumps through my entire body is not something i could have prepared for. i feel heavy, & released from something silent, all at once. mostly lucky. this show, and all of the memories and people that it brought into my life, was so much more than just a show for me. it is my family. my growth, my pain, my childhood, my self discovery, my loss, my success, my joy, my whole heart, my human. if you are lucky enough to find something, some place, some one or a few someones that bring out the light in you, the human in you...hold it close, hold it gently, and open your full, unguarded heart to it. i am blessed. i have lived a more human and elevated life because of this show. i don't deserve the love, the acceptance and the support that have been given to me, and i will dedicate my life to giving that same sensation and freedom to others who's lives i am lucky enough to touch. thank you, to @disneychannel for trusting me with the insane opportunity and delicate challenge of playing two identical twin sisters as only one actress, and for pushing me to (what i thought were) my limits and beyond. especially you, Gary. but you know. thank you, liv and maddie, for saving me and for so generously holding the space for me to become the human that i am. you were gentle and nurturing to a complex and intense girl, and you shielded me until i could stand on my own. you are the best thing that's ever happened to me, and i do not feel worthy. as far as speaking to that thing that we all know can never be put into words: we know. and we always will. good bye liv and maddie. you have my heart.

The show revolved around the life of twins, Liv and Maddie. One was a popular television star who returned home and went back to school with her sister who was an outstanding student and athlete.

Dove, who played a dual role as twins, starred alongside with Emmy Buckner and Joey Bragg. See Emmy and Joey's heartfelt goodbyes to the show below.

Tonight is the night. Four years ago I was an excited kid who just got his drivers license when I got the call that we were going to be a series. I know I can't possibly do the journey or anyone responsible for Liv and Maddie justice with a longer than usual instagram post. However, I can say that I learned more about myself, the entertainment industry, and how amazing people can be than I ever could have anywhere else. I am sad to see Liv and Maddie stop airing new episodes but this will forever be remembered as the peak of my career than I can reflect on from rock bottom. To the fans that watched from the beginning I can't thank you enough. Everyone one of you that tuned in every new episode were the fuel to the fire we put out bi-monthly. You were all so supportive and on point with your constructive criticisms or criticisms. Please watch this very special episode tonight at 5:30 and cry along with the rest of America's youth. Silver lining; now I have reason to go back and watch all the scenes I fast forwarded through because I wasn't in them. I wish I could express to everyone that made this show possible (fans included) just how much each and every one of you mean to me. Not you, @tenzingt4 Now, let's demand a #LivAndMaddieMovie.
