There is no sign of slowing down for Club 8 and Acid House Kings member Johan Angergård as he returns with back-to-back music releases! Last week, Angergård's brainchild band The Legend released a 16-track album called Nightshift.
According to the band, it is "an album brimful of lazy space-funk, noir-electro, and feral pop frenzy"! And now, Angergård is all set and ready to release his debut album Voyagers under his electronic synthpop collaboration DJUSTIN with Filipino-American artist Rose Suau.
In a press release, Suau revealed that she sees DJUSTIN's music as "deeply intense and life-affirming".
“Unlike previous projects I’ve done, writing for DJUSTIN has been a wholly intuitive process for me. I feel that every song Johan sends me to write for carries an intent and energy of its very own, and my task is to translate that energy into a narrative everyone can connect with. I see our finished songs as sacred space between us. No matter the distance, we give pieces of ourselves, and the songs manifest themselves into something only the two of us can create together as DJUSTIN. It is deeply intense and life-affirming,” she said.
Voyagers comes out on May 5th.
