Katy Perry has been very busy over the past two years who just made music history as the first woman to have five songs from a single album hit Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list with songs "Firework," "E.T.," "Teenage Dream," and "California Gurls" and "Last Friday Night (TGIF)."
Another topper was "Part Of Me" from her next album "Complete Confection" and she'll be trying to do it again with "Wide Awake," which will hit our radios later this month. In addition, this next single is written for her upcoming movie "Part of Me 3D" which will premiere on July 5, 2012.
With all of these accomplishments and hardwork, Katy Perry is in dire need of relaxation. "I swear, after this song, I'm taking a f*cking vacation," she said during her speech for artist of the year in the NARM Music Awards last Thursday (May 10).
At the NARM, Katy Perry she is truly grateful that the music industry has been helping in her success, but she also allowed some of the credit to herself for being hardworking. "I have to say that I do a lot to sell my records," she said with a smile. "I do the right thingsà I work very hard! I like to sell out in all the best ways."
