Attention! Charlie Puth just revealed his upcoming sophomore album and we have a phone app to thank for it.
Stopping by to perform at the Today show Citi Concert Series, the singer-songwriter explained the reason behind the name. "[It's] going to be called Voice Notes, and the reason why is because every song came about from the Voice Notes app on my iPhone."
"I'm really bad at writing music notes down," he added. "That's one of the classes I was really bad at school, but when I have an idea, I just record it on my phone and then go to the studio and then kind of just break it down."
While new tracks from the album are yet to be released, Charlie hinted he might tease some of it while touring with Shawn Mendes beginning this July.
