BTS certainly made history for K-Pop industry after taking home the trophy and sealing a seat for the genre internationally. Following their BBMA success, they have finally shared their thoughts on entering the US market.
The group held a press conference in Korea where they revealed that they are in no rush to embark the foreign journey and would like to steadily build their own brand in music in Korea, Soompi reported. "We're really happy that we were so well received in America," Rap Monster said. "However, instead of focusing on entering the US market, which is a huge dream for any artist, we want to continue to make songs for our fans. We will continue to rap and sing in Korean because this is the best way we know how to communicate."
He continued, "Through receiving the award, we've built confidence that we can continue to make music that's unique to BTS."
Jimin added, "Rap Monster started the acceptance speech in English, but finished it in Korean. It was a really proud moment as a Korean and I want to meet our fans again with a song in Korean."
Although they have yet to advance in the US market, the boys are glad that they made new friends back there and are looking forward to working together. Suga especially noted speaking a lot to The Chainsmokers, and Celine Dion who invited them to join her concert but could not go due to conflict in schedule.
