ABS-CBN News reports that music veteran Eugene Villaluz has passed away at age 70 due to prostate cancer.
Villaluz became a household name as part of the 70s act New Minstrels along with Louie Reyes. Their duet "Nothing I Want More" is one of the group's most memorable hits.
In the new millennium, he served as an executive of Viva Records where he produced albums by Rachelle Ann Go and Sarah Geronimo. He also taught music business management at MINT College.
